The ARIYA EKO MUSIC FESTIVAL is a yearly musical event geared towards recognition and celebration of the rich vibrant and nostalgic musical culture and heritage of Lagosians/Nigerians in its traditional and contemporary form, while harnessing its potency for the development of a highly needed vintage music culture.

Ariya Eko Music Festival was founded to appreciate classical music that Lagos has become synonymous with.

The most prolific features of the Ariya Eko Music Festival are to preserve, promote and propagate indigenous band culture and give it a musical identity.

Some of the music from the past to the present showcased includes: Folk Music, Highlife, Juju, Apala, Afrobeat, Agidigbo, Sakara, Hip-Hop, Waka, Fuji, etc.
